Customer Support Lead

Who we are looking for.

A customer champion with business acumen, good judgement, and common sense who can build rapport with customers and colleagues. If Fintech is interesting to you, problems intrigue you, and you thrive on helping both the customer and the business succeed, this is the right role for you.

What you will do.

You will play a pivotal role in optimizing our customers’ experience by leveraging the success of our growing number of engaged customers to champion success with future customers across North America. You will guide our customer’s through the funding process, answer their questions, identify solutions based on customer’s unique situations, and help sell our services. To ensure you have a good understanding of our business and products, you’ll get exposure to all areas of our business including adjudication, marketing, product development, and data science as well as access to industry leaders who have years of knowledge and experience. Your role will encompass both strategic and hands-on capabilities and you will lead a small team of customer support specialists.

Your responsibilities.

  • Optimize the Customer Lifecycle: Review, analyze, and recommend a customer engagement model that delivers the appropriate experience for each customer. As customers progress along the maturity curve, our engagement model should evolve with them – always with the expectation that client success naturally leads to expansion and growth. You will be accountable for building and managing a model that will control churn, drive successful platform adoption, and yield revenue growth.
  • Own the Customer Experience: You and your team will onboard and support new customers with the mandate to maximize the lifetime value of the customer. This will be measured by successful adoption of the product, ongoing retention, and continuous improvement of the customer experience.
  • Lead and mentor team: While the customer support team is small today your role is to equip them with the right tools and technology and to model the right values, coach the right behaviours, track the right metrics and over time attract and hire the right talent.
  • Influence: As the champion of customer support you will influence many areas within the company including the product roadmap, messaging to customers, and the course of the company
  • Your qualifications.

    • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in customer support/success/experience in a web application environment
    • Ability to create a viable customer support model that maximizes customer’s happiness and supports revenue growth
    • Data-centric and analytics-savvy. Capable of enabling customer success through an emphasis on data science and operational analytics programs that create impactful insight to customer behaviour and value delivery
    • Able to build rapport with multiple audiences

    Junior Product Analyst

    The Role:

    You’re an insanely bright recent business grad who wants exposure to all things entrepreneurial. You’ll fill gaps across our start-up team, assisting product development, customer success, and data analysis. You’ll learn a LOT about how to build (and not build) a business from the ground up.     Who we are looking for.

    We are looking for a .Net Developer who wants to be a part of building our next generation product. Our development team based in downtown Vancouver are looking for a backend developer to play a key role in creating new features, enhancing existing features and ensuring our product can scale and grow to meet individual customer needs. Ideally, you enjoy technical challenges, pushing boundaries, and working in an agile environment.     You will be part of a cross-functional team building highly scalable services. You will think about the problem, weigh technical options against business needs and design carefully before writing high quality code that is clean and well structured.

    Your responsibilities.

    • Write clean, high-quality, high-performance and maintainable code and related tests and deployment scripts;
    • Identify achievable solutions to technical problems that are smart and practical;
    • Collaborate with product managers and other developers to create a best-in-class software;
    • Own and deliver features that are compliant with software security standards and protocols;

    Your qualifications.

    • Degree or diploma in Computer Science or relevant work experience;
    • 5+ years programming experience with .NET, C#, SQL Server, RESTful Web Services;

    Product Manager (Toronto and Vancouver)

    Who we are looking for.

    Researcher, thinker, integrator. We are looking for someone to drive the right features, at the right time keeping product stability as a priority. Quality and efficiency are part of your DNA – you’ll build and own the road map and deployment plan – in collaboration with key stakeholders of course. Being a process ninja would be awesome too.

    What you will do.

    You will balance your knowledge of the business, the customers and the dev team to set the path for releasing high quality features often. You’ll stay on top of industry trends and identify the right steps to meet customer needs. Your process skills will allow you to improve efficiency and remove blockers for the dev team by identifying workflows, business rules and user stories that need to be implemented.

    Your responsibilities.

    • Identify and manage new features and releases through the full product lifecycle;
    • Deliver high quality product releases on a high frequency and iterative basis;
    • Work with the VP of Product to continuously update the product vision and product roadmap;
    • Build, groom and maintain sprint backlogs in JIRA to ensure we’re always ahead of the game;
    • Work closely with technical leads to define and communicate a tactical project plan that delivers the most value as early and as frequently as possible;
    • Identify product and technical issues and recommend and track solutions;
    • Know the product inside and out.

    Your qualifications.

    • Minimum of 5 years product management or product development experience in a web application environment;
    • Excellent problem-solving, organizational and analytical skills, with the ability to evolve product strategy based on research, data and industry trends;
    • Great communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences;
    • Comfortable with uncertainty and experience navigating unchartered water or starting a new initiative;
    • Experience working in an agile environment with frequent, incremental code testing and deployment;
    • You know how to manage changing requirements of a product and can prioritize bugs, technical debt and new features within a Backlog;

    Azure / IT Administrator

    Who we are looking for.

    Every development team has an awesome system administrator working in the background ensuring everything runs smoothly. We are looking for someone who loves building, securing, tweaking, checking and monitoring the guts of a Windows and Azure production and internal environment.

    What you will do.

    Our Dev and DevOps teams have been handling these tasks ad hoc, so you’ll get to start from scratch with the support of our VP of Engineering and DevOps team. You’ll review and tweak the system and security for our cloud platform and work closely with the software engineering team to keep the system up to date and running smoothly.

    What you’ll do day to day.

    Management of Azure Resources

    • Right sizing of Azure resources – ensure application instances, database servers and other resources are configured in the most cost-effective manner based on their environment and usage (i.e. production against QA, one client against another)
    • Evaluate security risks / implement best practices for protection of client data and network assets
    • Implement and maintain Azure logging such as, but not limited to, application access logs, network activity, intrusion detection, and environment health
    • Monitor and report on changes in application performance (i.e. performance degradation, unexpected increase in consumption of application resources)
    • Deploy and configure new Azure assets in coordination with DevOps according to business needs
    • Work with DevOps on ensuring business continuity by establishing and maintaining a back-up and disaster recovery process

    System Administration

    • Oversee day-to-day IT operational requirements and resolve IT challenges
      • Document and maintain system / network infrastructure
      • Document and implement group policies in compliance with company security standards
    • Manage day-to-day IT services

      • Enforce security / threat detection policies, initiatives, and provide support for compliance reporting.
    • Provide administrative support / best practices for IT Infrastructure:

    Your qualifications.

    • Degree / diploma or relevant experience and Microsoft Azure or MCSA / MCSE certified
    • 2+ years of practical IT systems experience with a focus on Windows based networks and the Microsoft Azure cloud platform
    • Experience in Windows system, Active Directory and server administration
    • An understanding of web application stacks
    • Experience with security and monitoring tools
    • Working knowledge of cloud services: SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS
    • Working knowledge of multi-tier architectures: load balancers, caching, web servers, application servers and databases
    • Experience with various virtualization technologies and multi-tenant, private and hybrid cloud environments
